Sharepoint explorer view lockup

XP SP3 - IE 7 and IE 8
Office 2007

Any XP user attempts to open a doc in sharepoint in Explorer mode causes an IE/PC lockup. And it reality, it really isnt a lockup, it just take like 8 minutes for the document to load.
Works fine in All Documents mode.

Ive found such things as changing iFrame settings and trusted site settings, but none of these resolved the issue.

Happens in ie 7 or 8, XP only.
Does not happen in Vista or 7.

Anyone have this problem and have 'the real fix' ?

Hi Rob,

As far as I am aware "No Fixes" for this mate .

One thing that you could do though is open the document in a different page. This will allow the users to still use the main page...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull
