Hi,

how can i add the path in windows xp for sharedata folder?
we have peer to peer network, we install ap/gl modules pointing to the licence files and worked fine when we installed System Manager 4.1 poiting to the same folder where the licence is sm.pls or something it get installed but keep saying unregistered expire on 30 days.

Please help, on the main pc i created a subst drive,

like subst P: C:\ACCPAC\PLUS TO BE THE SHAREDATA FOLDER?

ANY SUGESTION PLEASE.

THANK YOU

When you install System Manager you need to enter the shared data path in the Data text box during the installation.
Use UNC, for example use \\computer\share.

Thank you.

i do, for example: \\Linda\Accpac, but still does not work.

my question is, she has 2 folder one is: C:\ACCPAC WHERE INSIDE HAS FOLDERS, PLUSWIN, SITE/ USER.

BUT ALSO HAS ALONE FOLDER C:\PLUSWIN, SO WHICH PATH OR UNC SHOULD I USE? C:\ACCPAC OR C:\PLUSWIN.

IN WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT SHOULD I SET: PATH: \\LINDA\ACCPAC?

BEFORE WHEN HAD WINDOWS 98, THE PLUSWIN.INI WAS

SOMETHING LIKE: C:\PLUSWIN
SHAREDATA P:

THEN SHE UPGRADED TO WINDOWS XP PROF.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

The shared data folder is the folder where the license files are, as well as the SITE, COMPANY & USER folders.

thank you very much for your answer, i really appreciated.

I just have one more question,

somebody told me that i have set the path on windows xp,

on environment variables on windows xp,

how can i do that,

he said, something like, user environment and system environment.

can you help me on that?

thank you again.

Bye
