shared variables within a group 1

Hello,

Is it not possible to have a shared variable in a subreport, and on the main report, within the same group?

I'm trying to make a report that has a group section, with a subreport (that contains a table) on the right, and summarized totals on the left.

My shared variables from the subreport display fine elsewhere in the report, but not within the same group.

Am I doing something wrong?

The shared variables from the subreport can only be used in the main report in a section below the one in which the subreport is executing. You could insert a second group section_b and place the summaries there. Then format the group section_a to "Underlay following sections" in the section expert.
