I have included a subreport in the group header of my main report. The purpose of the subreport is to populate shared variables to be displayed and used in calculations in the main report. These things need to occur in the group footer of the main report.

The subreport is returning the desired data, but I cannot get the variable data to display unless the whole subreport is allowed to display in the group header. If I do this, there is no problem with displaying the variables in formula fields in the group footer of the main report. If I suppress or hide either the subreport or the group header where it resides, I get nothing in the group footer. I have not even attempted a calculation until I can get past this.

Suggestions please?

format the subreport so it doesn't show anything and remove its borders.

not too tuff..

ok The report MUST run.... but size isn't an issue...

Hide all the output in the subreport.. DON'T SUPRESS .. ONLY HIDE..

and make the subreport TINY!! keep the size of a text box if you can, as its easier to find that way! :)

Thanks Ido and MSM, this forum hasn't failed me yet!
