Does anyone know the limit of shared folders in Groupwise 5.5? I have a user who has way too many and he also has 11,000 emails and won't clean up. If you know, can you also point me in the direction of where you got the documention on Novell's site? :) Thanks

Janis,
I've never seen a limit on shared folders. I have users who have up to 25 or more shared folders w/o any problems. The concern would be in the number of messages this person has in their account!

This sounds like an issue of keeping messages from archiving so they stay in the shared folders? If this is the case, you might want to look into message management through Nexic's "Personal Publisher" at then click on Personal Publisher.

This is an issue I'm looking into with my programmers and the need to retain messages in their shared folders.

Hope this helps !

"Whoops... there must have been some issues with your databases and maint. removed the messages to fix the problems. sorry but there isn't anything I can do..."

Just 1 wild guess.. Is there any chance that your users GroupWise ID starts with the letters "PU"? We had a similar problem and it turns out that GW cannot maintain ANY ID's who's first letters are "PU". These letters are reserved for prime user databases.

I don't really have a direct answer for your question, but I have had an incident open with Novell for over 6 months on shared folders and they do not have a clue.
