I have a main terminal with XP HOME with approx 20 shared folders.

I access these shared folders on a XP PRO laptop that connects via wireless communication.

The problem seems to be that I cannot always access these shared folders (The computer is on) and when I can access them the connection seems to be slow.

However when I cannot access the shared folders and can still access the Internet.

Any help appreciated...

You Cannot Access Shared Files and Folders or Browse Computers in the Workgroup

When access is blocked are you receiving any error message, and is there any errors in the Event Viewer?

Are you accessing 20 Shares in one go, or one at a time? Maybe you are running out of network bandwidth with so many Shares open?

Sorry no only one share open at once!

XP only allows 10 anyway.

The connection to the shares can sometimes terminate straight away or when navigating to another shared folder.
