I have a client who is looking for a simple program to allow shared access to a calendar / schedule between 3 users on 3 different computers. I know that Microsoft Exchange Server will do this, but that is serious overkill for this client's needs. And Exchange Server requires the use of a Domain based network which this client does not use.

So can anyone suggest a simple, inexpensive program which will allow 3 users on a peer-to-peer network to share a schedule / calendar in real-time. Something that will work on Windows 2000 and Windows XP is desireable.

I would really suggest exploring Microsoft Small Business Server - it's easy to manage, includes Exchange and Outlook, and is fairly inexpensive considering what you are getting - I believe roughly $600. Your XP machines would need Pro though, if they aren't already using it.

If that's really not an option then I would suggest using an online calendar such as Yahoo. They even have synchronization for PDAs

Do they have any servers there? If they have a server running Server 2003 then you can set up SharePoint. It's included with 2003 and was easy to set up.

Probably overkill though.

That looks more like it. Thanks Bill.
