Can anyone tell me how I can import data from an excel file that is currently open?

Thanks Mike. Sharing the workbook works but unfortunately, I can't share the workbook because doing so causes a bunch of macros to error out because certain features aren't available in a shared workbook.

Any other ideas? Anybody?

Why does the Excel spreadsheet have to be open at the same time as you are importing into VFP?

Slight misunderstanding there... the spreadsheet doesn't have to be open, it just always is and i'm simply trying to Import or Append From this spreadsheet but can't because I get a sharing violation. Can ya help me???
