Hi all,

I have 2 way strusted domain. I have shared the folder in domain B for users from domain A. After sharing for around a couple of hours, it automatic stop sharing. When I check the share permission, all the users account from domain A becames numbers (like garbage). I am not sure it is the trust or DNS or something else... Please help.

Regards,

M.A.

Do the numbers look like SIDS?
eg SID: S-1-5-32-544
Sometimes longer?

Yeah, a SID is often longer but does it have the S at the beginning.
I've seen this on accounts which have been deleted but the account is somehow still 'active' on the directory. Instead of the username a SID is dsiplayed.

If this is happening for all of your A domain members on the shares on B then maybe you need to reset the trust?
