I have recently migrated 40 users to Windows SBS2003 environment. Today one of the users allurted me that some folders on a shared drive were no longer displayed. No-one else was effected and once he had logged off and back on, it was all once again available. Any ideas?

thanks guys

Sounds like the client PC had a network connectivity problem. Maybe his/her connection came out for a short period of time which blew out the connection to the shares.

Seeing how no one else noticed any problems, I would think that this problem was specific to the client computer and not the server.

-hope this helps...

This has happened to a few PC's now. I think it could be networking. They are running at 10mbps. I'm putting in new switches in the next 2 weeks. Upping it to gigabit.

Check your Event logs on the DNS server and look for DNS errors? I had the same problem it only happened in the morning when thte user first logged into the computer. I had to move DNS to a new server. Resolved the problem right away.
