How would one go about shadowing a particular user without prompting? Currently every one is prompted but we would like to not have this be the case with one user. I'm not a citrix guy but our admin just up and left so others are left to pick up the slack. I'm assuming it's not as simple as remote control properties in AD. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

you can change the setting on the server by going to the connection setup (the hammer icon on the ica toolbar) then edit the ICA connection and I can't remeber right off the top of my head which button you need to click I think it is the advanced settings button. then at the bottom of the window there should be a drop down to select wether you want to prompt the user or not.

IM pretty certain that you cannot change the original shadow settings that were confgured when citrix was installed. (like shadow acceptance and logging shadowed connections) These "less restrictive" settings can only be change if citrix is reinstalled, if they werent changed on the original install then more restrictive settings shoudl be able to be edited via a citrix policy ov via w33mhz's suggestion... (or it may simply be enable or diable of the shawoding - you would have to test)

hope this helps in some way

We regularly change this in the AD Users and Computers Remote Control tab. Just uncheck "Require User's Permission". User will have to log off for the setting to take affect.
