i have been able to shadow fine in the past but recently i have been getting an error that The Citrix Server is not available, please try again later. Also when i'm in the citirx server administration i cannot right click on a client and have shadow available, only disc, snd message, reset and status appear. also we only have a five user license and i cannot remember how to set the number of connections that you allow, i believe it was set to three and i want all five open.

thanks
chris

The Citrix Server is not available please try again later
This may be because
1. there are 3 sessions already open (if you set user to 3) or
2. There are some down sessions which you will have to reset to idle (= ready for connection)( reset from Citrix Server Administration )

To change user license , I think it is
Metaframe Administrative tools \ Citrix Licensing \ License \ Change Pool count

Shadowing not available
When you right click on the client, did you do it from a Citrix session? It will not let you shadow from the console. Plus you cannot shadow session running higher resolution than your own.

I hope this help or at least give you some ideas.

I believe that the user count is indeed set to 3 but when i go to "Metaframe Administrative tools \ Citrix Licensing \ License \ Change Pool count" the change pool count is not available for me to click on. I am also having a Num Lock issue, the clients are primarily doing accounting and our software is built around access, every so often the caps lock and num lock keys are lit but return lower case letters and the home pg up and pg dn ect become active, turning the caps lock off will then give capital letters.

Thanks for the shadowing advice.
I had a look at the licensing issue, when you first add your base license which normally comes with user licenses, the number of users in total should appear in User Count tab. If yours is 3 it looks like your base license comes with 3 user licenses. If you think you should have 5 it might mean you will have to add Server extension licenses to increase the user count. Sorry if this doesn't help.
