Hello

Been a while since I been on - (been looking for a job and finnally landed one) - anyway here is what is happing and I hope someone can point me in the right direction to fix this problem.

We recieve excel spread sheets for our dealers and they shade a lot of cells that show price changes and cancellations. The problem is when we go to print out these sheets - the first time they print out all the shaded cells (and inserted pic) come out black. If we reprint they will come out normal. I would like to get this fixed because we are wasting a lot of toner.

We are using Excel 2003
Printing to HP 1200

Thank you

Bob

What happens if you Print Preview first, then print? Not suggesting it as a workaround, but as a way of trying to work out what's going on with the spreadsheet.

Also, have you checked the formatting (and conditional formatting) of the cells involved? Perhaps they are picking up on another value on the sheet which is being automatically updated when you print.

thanks SPV

When you go to print preview it looks normal - then you print and the shaded parts come out heavey black - Anyway after several Poke and hopes I tend it to think its is the print driver (old HP 1150 that uses a HP printjet)
