When I do a sh run or sh config it generates partial output. How do I fix this and the priv levels are set for 15.

Try sh start, sh run | incl e, or copy it to a computer via tftp daemon and open with Word Pad in Windows.

I have a copy of the config and I've tried using the sh start with pipes to get the info I need. Have you guys ever seen this before?

I've never experienced this problem before. I tried googling it but couldn't find a similar problem. If you do find out what's causing that please share it with us.

Yes, when I find out what's going on I'll post the solution. I thought maybe is was the priviledge levels but it's not.

Does it exhibit this behavior through console and vty?

Console and vty - I console to router A and from router A I telnet into router B -which does the same thing-

Hello
Is this problem only on router RTR?Try to change terminal program and keyboard. This problem is very strange.
Regards

Post a sh ver...it stops on the same spot every time? What term emul prog? I was talking about piping to maybe a character that you see in all output, like the letter "e"...does that do anything different?

For grins, can you post the config that you have saved? I was alos asking if it saves the entire config...

Burt

Well it is strang and if I do a show ver it will still give me a partial output -it shows everything except the devices that are installed.

I'm 23 from cmd prompt and I just noticed that when I hit enter it will display 2 priviledge mode prompts

I believe it may be the setup on the other side. I'll hook the router up to my local machine.

Sounds like something is limiting the number of lines you're receiving as output.

I think maybe when you hit Enter on your keyboard there is another key being pressed. Try it from a different computer.

I finally got of my tail and pulled the router. I have the router connected directly to my workstation and it's working correctly.

Sorry guys -- Always check the physical first --

Thanks and oh, have a good holiday this weekend.
