Hi
On my IIS 5.0 i have several webs and several ips.
I have one web with a working SSL cert.
Now i have set up a Secure Gateway on another ip on the same machine. That works great.
But now the SG takes over port 443 so the old web that used to work fails.
Is there a way for these two to share port 443?
They are on different ip addresses.
(ps. When i stop the service for SG and restart IIS the old web with SSL starts to work)

hokus,

TCP/IP is not a protocol that shares well with other processes on the same box. So, for all intents and purposes - you have done the correct troubleshooting and already know the answer.

Port 443 can either be used by the Secure Gateway or for SSL on the Web Server. But, not both.

You can change the port, but either of these will require a specified port to connect to in lieu of port 443, which will be confusing for your users, and all in all - is not a great idea.

I found out the answer on how to solve this.
This is what Citrix says:

cd \InetPub\AdminScripts
cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/disablesocketpooling true

The following output should be returned:

Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.6
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 1996-2001. All rights reserved.
disablesocketpooling : (BOOLEAN) True

I have just tried this and it works.
