Hi!

I have a problem!! The server is beeping very loudly since 5 days, I have tried many things but it wont stop beeping until the power is cutoff or if i shut down the computer.

I thought that it was because of Raid Default. And have tried the ADAC Configuration utility.
But as soon as i enter the "View/Add Configuration" in the "Configure" Menu. It is not letting me hit "Enter".

It says the 1 logical drive is in rebuild mode. . Press any key to continue. And i did not wait and just pressed the Esc key and the computer reboots again and the same process repeats. Please help me.

Thanks a lot

What server is it ?

I would suggest contacting your server manufacturer as it sounds like one of your raid disks is in need of being rebuilt.

If yous is a dell you can see what disk has failed as all the disk cases have there own LED's all you need to do is take it out and replace it then it should start the rebuild.

But personally I would look for a reason why its happend.

If your server starts "beeping" continuosly I would suggest that you look at the following:

- keyboard. Is anything pressing on any of the keys. As the keyboard buffer gets full then the server would beep.
- any configuration changes?
- any hardware changes?
- what do you get during the POST? Any "beeps" here would help diagnose the problem

Sounds like you have a disk out, but another thing to look out for is a CPU fan (S), could be a CPU being overheated. I would also recommend calling the Server Manufacturer and telling them what is going on.
