I'm installing a setup created with the package and deployment wizard on a Windows 2000 system. However, I am told that the installer must restart the system to update some files. This happens repeatedly and the actual installation never occurs.

Obviously the setup routine is trying to update files that Win2K refuses to let it change???

Any way around this? How do I find out which file it is getting stuck on so I can just replace it with an older verison?

Cheers

This is terrible! I can't expect out clients to read all that every time they want to install out software.

Lately I have tried both Wise and Installshield and found them to be very bad at picking up all the necessary files and dependencies.

Ahhh!

Will this setup that you are making get installed in Win95/98/Me without any problems?

We dont have any 9x OSs here, but NT is fine.
