setup of tty for telecorp

Hi!

I've never done this before so here it goes...Cust is wanting to install a device to collect ACD data (by Telecorp) on a TTY port on a Opt.61c rls 5.5. We do have Symposium, but they still want it. I'm wanting to use TTY 8 because it's vacant. TTY 8 is on a Paddle board on Core 1 and is setup as DTE. The dipswitches are setup as follows...9600 baud, and other 2 set of swithces are "on,on,on,off,on,off" and the other is "off,on,off,on,off,on". I hope this makes sense. I tried replacing the Paddle board with no luck. I tried to connect my laptop to TTY 8 and used different 9 to 9 pin and 9 to 25 pin cables with and without nulls. It seems like it just doesn't want to connect. I can't even do a "TTY 8" for a test. All I see on my Procom is the "RED" dots on the bottom "cd and cts". I've attach some info that may help on my programming. I worked with my NOC and seems like they're too busy or don't know?? Can anyone help me?

You may have better luck if you post this on the Meridian Forum, the cable you use for that is a special 9 pin to 25 pin, it is not the standard configuration.

It is sort of a mini-octopus cable for serial ports, if I remember correctly! I think I have some in a box somewhere.
