Hello ,
We are installing a S8300 in Amsterdam would anyone have a known good setup for :

- ds1
- signal group
- trunk group
- ARS table

the provider is set up for ETSI as requested

As I found some useful info on Wikipedia but just don't want to miss anything with regards to ars table as often happens when not familiar with all their exchanges.

cheers !

I havn't worked in Holland, but I have done ACM all over the rest of Europe.
The ISDN is the same 30e standard we use in the UK, so if you are familiar with UK settings use the same values. The ARS table you will need to fiddle with, beware that most Euro nation dialplans are a mess of different valid digit lenghts.
I can send you a model set-up for the DS1 sig, etc if you don't know etsi.

I remember struggling to get the Trunk to come into service and hence the reason for changing some of the settings.

For me having CRC set to Y caused problems, the trunk only came into service if I set this to N and then I had to busy and release each port indivudually to get them into service. Busy and Release on the trunk only released some ports.

Welcome to the world of telecoms, throw the book out and experiment until it works for you, lolol.

That's the skill of it!
If it was easy any old body could do it, and it wouldn't be half as much fun! :-D

It depends which provider you have
KPN (main provider) normally has CRC on !
