I am new to the Definity System.
Model G3Si
We cannot call any numbers starting with 011.
After dialing 9 to get an out side line then when you dial 011 and a part of the number you get a busy tone.
I am sure somewhere in the setup its blocking international calls. I dont want all ext to be able to dial intl. Can it be done so a special code is required to dial intl calls?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Al

First check your COR (Class of restriction).

Higher COR's generally have the ability to do calling to further distances.

Do a 'list cor' command to see which COR is granted permission to make international calls.

After that do a 'change ars analysis 0' (that's zero) command and see if the calls that start 011 have 'den' in their route pattern (means denied).

If it's listed as 'den' then you would want to substitute a route pattern that would send calls to your carrier of international calls.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

COR 6 is assigned for International calls beginning with 011
It does not say 'deny' for the COR for Intl Calls.
It has Route Pattern=P3, Call Type=intl

I assigned my extension COR 6 but still get busy tone.

Try changing the call type field from intl to FNPA and give it another try

I tried your suggestion and after dialing the international number it says call cannot be connected as dialed. The number is correct, I can dial it from a non pbx direct phone line.

My ars has Min at 10 and max at 23.

011 10 23 12

Also my route is below
Pattern Number: 12 Pattern Name:

Grp FRL NPA Pfx Hop Toll No. Inserted DCS/ IXC
No Mrk Lmt List Del Digits QSIG
Dgts Intw
1: 2 0 201 0 n user
2: 4 0 201 0 n user
3: 5 0 201 0 n user

check FRL and Prefix mark as well.

Hope this helps
