Setup a Personal Operator

One of my executives wants his telephone to ring normally but in his voicemail he wants there to be touch tone gates to either transfer to his assistant or to the operator. Obviously callers can dial 0 and go straight to the operator but I want the option for them to dial 1 and go to his assistant. For Example: He receives a call but he is out of the office so it rolls to his v-mail. His v-mail says "Hi Im not here but dial 1 to get my assistant or 0 for the operaotr". Dialing 1 would transfer the call to his assistnat's extension. Does anyone know how to set up a personal operator?
 
Use an adjunct to create a phantom extension, and put that extension in the voice mail cover group. Then create the mailbox in Merlin Mail, with a class of service that points it to Auto Attendant No. 2 or 3 (you will have to look up the correct class of service in that manual that you found online). Now make that Auto Attendant's schedule options follow the weekly business schedule, and set it to be closed all days. In the Night Menu, make selector code 1 be a direct extension transfer to the assistant's extension, and the dial 0/timeout option transfer to the call answer service operator. Keep all of the other selector codes as not used. Record the Night Menu to say "press 1 for my assistant, or 0 for the operator". Finally, set the boss's Personal Operator to point to the phantom extension.

 
Thanks TTT. But I think I may not have the personal operator option! I was told that this was merlin mail v3. But I am begining to wonder if it is an older version. I am going to check the manual to see if I have to turn on the personal operator option for each extension.
