Settings please help

Hi
I have an asp page that opens a report in excel format using
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
I need to know how can set the columns automatically so that when it opens up it doesn't look all unformatted.

I've had really good luck using tables to output to excel (using XML). The table's format comes through just fine.
