Good Day All.
I'm seeking assistance setting up voicemail for my newly installed Merlin Magix. I have installed a Merlin Mess Card along with a a Merlin Proc 4.0 v 7.0. I have 24 ext's that I added to Coverage Group 30. I set the VMS Cover ring to 4. Besides the Group Cover I know there's something i'm missing. It's been quite a while since i had to create this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Set-up group calling 770 with the extensions (members) of voicemail (per its slot/port), add cover group 30 to 770, change it to linear, and integrated vmi.

The Merlin Magix R4 processor can do an initial auto config of an Avaya Merlin Messaging R3 and R4. From there calling groups, hunt groups and overflow timers can be customized. [smile]

All,
Thanks for the responses. I'm still having a little issue. I have a Red light on the MM Card. When I dail 770 I get RNA. I've re-seated the card and power cycled without any change.
I created Coverage Gp 30 and Calling Gp 770.

Are you talking about the status light being red? Or one of the port lights being red? I would do a board renumber as dexman suggested.

Good MOrning;
I'm still struggling with the Merlin Voicemail setup. I have programmed the VM using the format below. When I dial 770. I get RNA. When I print out the System Set-Up, i can see the MM Board in slot 4 but it's not reading a serial number. When I go to "Config M.Msg", its telling me there's no board present. I did a Board Renumber but it didn't change anything. I even re-seated the card. I have a green light on the M. Mgs board.
Does anyone have any insight?

In order for the auto configuration function to work, I believe that the Avaya Merlin Messaging needs to be either an R3 or R4.

Double check the ports in the voicemail group to make sure they are correct...which port license is being used?...and then Intercom each one to see if the voicemail answers. [smile]

Antaew,

I might have missed this but, did you do a board re-number so the processor sees?
