Hello,

I have a Cisco switch setup with a VLAN, I have just added a FDDI port. I need to add this FDDI port to the existing VLAN? I then need to setup trunking between the FDDI port and a non-cisco device already setup with a trunk?

I was wondering if anyone would have an idea on how to set this up? As it is not a Cisco device, I assume I do not use ISL, but use 802.10?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Also as I have to setup trunking on G0/2. I was a bit confused on what g0/1 is actually setup for? Below is the config of this interface. Do you know what g0/1 is setup for? Particularly switchport mode trunk ?

sh run
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
switchport mode trunk
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/2

Thanks

It depends on the the other switch. 802.1q is a standard will ISL is cisco specific.
