Hello all,

We've installed an SVM2 (KX-TDA3192) Simple Voice Messaging card to a KX-TDA30 phone system.

However, it happens that we are unable to dial *38 to configure the voicemail. We've set up the floating extension number and the feature number (*38), but dialing *38 or the voicemail extension number gives a busy tone.

Is there any configuration to do beyond that?

Thank you!

What version of software is on the tda30
If the system was originally version 1.0 ( the first hardware release) you have a hardware issue as it was only out a short time before version 1.1 came out with the addition of the svm card and they had to make hardware changes.
But the system would not work with the esvm2 card until after version 2 software level

I would try upgrading first but you may have to get a new controller

Thanks for your reply.

The system used to be on 1.1, but it is now running on a more recent version (5.xx).

It looks like it might be the hardware issue you're talking about.

It's actually the older SVM2 card.

Looks like the system is one of the first units out. You could put a tvm 50 on it
