Setting up point to point extension

Hello everyone,

I have a Definity G3R system and was wondering how to set up a point to point extension. Basically, we've got a phone by the employee entrance. We want it to behave as if someone picks up that phone, it immediately goes to another extension where we've setup a voicemail, or a prompt etc....We don't want the user to dial any numbers. Just pick up the phone and it will automatically dial another extension.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The feature is called 'hotline' and uses and analog phone. On page 2 of the station form enter the abbreviated dial that you want the hotline to use. As soon as the analog phone goes off-hook it dials that number.

Can you please walk me step by step on how to program this? It looks like there's a couple of lists that I need to modify.

Hi

type add station next
make the station type 2500
add in name details etc as necessary
go onto page 3 and enter the hotline destination above the line appearance.
