Setting Up OpenView to page when an alert occurs

I'm new to OpenView & have a need to figure out how to configure OpenView to call the same voice number every time a node goes down. The number I'd like for it to call is a voice mail number & that in return will page the tech on call. Is that possible? Thanks.

There is a method by which you can do this using email.

Use Options -> Event Configuration -> choose Openview
and choose OV_Node_Down for an Event

Double click on it and type command for automatice action as

/usr/ucb/mail -s &quot;$2 down&quot; email_pager@isp.com < /tmp/dummyfile
