HI Guys, I need some help and quick.

I have Checkpoint installed and everything is working fine. I have been asked to configure one of the PC's on my network to have a static external ip address. I created a network object (workstation) and entered the details. It seems to be set up fine. I used an online to to see what IP address i'm using. It is picking up the new one (great), but when I try to ping the new IP address, i get 'Timed out' errors.

So it seemd to be working going out but not coming in. can anyone please help.

Thanks in advance

Have you included your external address in the anti spoofing for your internal interface? Try dumping on both your inner and outer interfaces and see where it is getting dropped on the way back in. If it gets through the outer but not the inner then it is almost definately anti spoofing.

Cheers B-)
