Setting up Faxing on IP Office 3.0

I have been trying to setup faxing on an IP Office 3.0 system and GFI Fax server with no luck. This is what I have done so far.
1) Configured an analog port per the install doc and assigned an extension to it.
2) Set the system fax nubmer in the voicemail pro application.

If I understand correctly the system should detect an incoming fax and route it to the system fax number. This is not happening. I can dial out and receive calls on the analog port. I am sure it can be a number of things, but if anyone has a starting point I would appreciate it. One last thing there is an associated user account with the analog extension.

Thanks

If you do a search, you will find this covered pretty well. You need to create either one or a range of shortcodes to pass the DNIS digits to the fax server once the fax card picks up. Do you have the type of card that is in your fax server?

Go it working, but it won't route based on the DID, not sure why. I did search but saw little about configuring with version 3.0.

You have to usually re-pass the digits to the server.

If the DID is 610-555-4022 that is passing 4022 to the IPO, you have to re-send the 4022 to server when you transfer the call to the group with extension 500.

Incomming Call Route - 4022
Destination - *4022 (or something)

SC - *4022
TN - 500D4022
FT - DialExtn

When someone calls the DID, the call is presented to the fax server group 500, waits for the server to answer (D), then sends 4022.

will this work for analog fax ports as wel, as in on an analog port on the IP Office will the IPO oupulse the digits?

I have never gotten fax detection to work on any incoming call route. Does this actually work?
I have incoming call routes which route to the fax board as outlined above by kflounders, however with two different IPOs, each with a PRI, I have tried to route based on the call type but never gotten it to work.
For example, number 5551234 has one incoming call route for all voice to x100 and then a route for fax calls to x101. I have never been successful geting the IPO to detect fax on the PRI's and route faxes differently. Maybe it works with analog and I just have never had a chance to test it but if someone has any ideas that would be great.

Thanks
Clay

The Fax type within the Incoming call routes works only with ISDN Group 4 faxes.
Does not work for common analog faxes as these are alog stations.
