I'm setting up an EX2000. I loaded it on a Member Server because it wouldn't allow me to DCPROMO it. Everything populated fine. The AD on the EX2K box shows all the users listed on the main DC. The DNS appears to be replicating properly. But when the system loads, all the main MS Exch services i.e. the Service Attendent, won't start. When I go to open the Exchange Server Manager and click on the Global Settings I get a "No Global Catalog on the Domain Controller found" On the DC I made double sure that the Global Catalog is checked so that it is definitely a Global Catalog DC.
Please send help soon! :)

Thanks for those. I checked them out and looked at the registries on both the DC/GC and the member server:
There is only one DC in my domain. So it automatically is the GC as well. The registry shows it being the GC.
On the member server in the registry it also lists it as the GC. But I still can not run DCPROMO on that member server and I still get the message about no Global Catalog available. I tried reinstalling the Exchange server too. Didn't work. Typing NSLOOKUP on the member server brings back the DC name and IP correctly. This server has Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 installed on it. This is driving me MAD! heh. PLEASE HELP!
