Im trying to set up different FTP sites---one for only FTP'ing data and one for my website all on the same machine. I created two FTP sites in IIS 5.0 to do each. FTP for my data is set to one default folder called MOVEIT and the other is for my website content called WEBSITE. When i log in to ftp://ftp.myIISserver.com i cant control what directories i get into when i log on. What do i need to do so that when i log in with one account i get into my data and with another account i can manage my website. HELP!!! Thanks in advance....

Set up two ftp sites in your IIS.

FTP site1: set default folder as MyDataFolder
FTP site2: set default folder as MyWebFolder (same as default website folder)

Setup security with username, password for different users.

When logon data folder, use: "ftp://site1.com
When logon web folder, use: "ftp://site2.com (not fpt://ftp.site.com)

Hope it helped. Let us know if you have questions.

I followed your instructions but it still didnt work. External computers can resolve to the ftp sites URL. Is there something else that is missing? Anything in DNS...
