We have been using terminal server for a while now. But we would like to have the client start when the computer turns on, and then stay on.

So the computer comes up in windows, and immediately starts the client in a full screen. If the user logs off, then we woulld like the client to start again. So all any user every sees is the client in a full screen. We don't want the user to see the local machine's desktop at all.

Does anyone know if this is possible with windows? I have the client connection in the startup folder, but when they log off of the terminal server client, it goes back to the windows desktop.

Thanks in advance.
Joe.

we have citrix at another site, and as far as i can tell it behaves the same way as terminal server client. when logging off of the terminal server session, it returns to the local windows desktop.

Have you thought about using a DOS client ?
Or must it be a windows client.

Don't know about the Windows client - we tried the same thing without any success, but now use over 100 DOS clients and the users can't tell the difference!

Hello, I have citrix and the way we do what you want is by changing the command

"SHELL=EXPLORER"

in the system.ini file with this command

"SHELL=C:\PROGRA~1\CITRIX\PN.EXE /APP 'DESKTOP' "

PN.EXE is the client for citrix and DESKTOP is the config for a full screen desktop.
