Is This possible and what do i need to do to make this work?
 
you might need to be a bit more specific, but yes you can. You can share calendars between users, and you can have calendars hosted in public folders for more "group/project" oriented scheduling concerns.

Resource sharing, such as meeting rooms or even equipment is pretty well documented as well...

What I am trying to accomplish is a centralized company calendar that can be modified by the necessary users and viewed by all users. I hope that gives you the jist of what i am getting at. Also thanks for the previous reply

New distribution list
"Staff".
Add all staff.

Public folders.
New
"Company Calendar"
Type=Calendar.
Permissions:
Staff - Reviewer.
IT - Owner.
Necessary users - Publishing Editor (depending what you want them to do).

That's it.
