First time setting up IP Dect with IPO500. I have 5 IPBS2 base stations setup with 1 setup as the master. They are all setup to get static ip addresses from our firewall's dhcp. When I plug them in the server room they all sync properly. The problem is when I place them in the locations we planned for, they don't seem to sync properly. When I look on the master, under device overview, they all show in sync, except one of them which says not in sync. Also, under dect sync the same device shows unconfigured and two others show weak signals.

Is this simply a location problem? Maybe I need an additional base between the master and the one that isn't syncing.
Also, I've set it up without an ADMM. Is this necessary?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

ADMM is the old dect.

Did you do a site survey?
I think you did not and now you have a problem.
Dect is about the most difficult part of telephony.
Without a proper site survey you will have major issues and you are the lucky winner of this issue.
So do a proper sitesurvey and make a drawing and then count the amount of basestations including a calculation of the amount of concurrent calls per basestation.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You mean actually plan ahead, before installing? Unfortunately, the survey just wasn't in the cards this time around as I am only helping with the install remotely. I'll definitely push harder for one next time. We'll probably just try either moving the bases or adding one more base. I do see some basic instructions for a survey in my IP DECT document from avaya, but are there any other how-to's you could recomend?
Thanks for the reply.

A dect survey requires some skills/experience but in a nutshell you need to do this:
Place a basestation on a strategic location to cover to the end of the building on one side.
Then when you know the coverage then you move the basestation to the edge (most of the time) of that last measurement to be sure you have overlap.
Ofcourse this must all be done with a good eye to the requirements of the customer.
Continue till you have the coverage this customer needs.
