Can some-one please help.
I'm new to the area of server based networks and have recently installed a w2k server. My problem is, when i set up mandatory roaming user profiles, as described in just about every user manual, any changes made by the user on a local machine(w2k pro), are still saved to the server.
When I change the ntuser.dat file to .man, the ntuser.dat file is written back to the server when the user logs off.
By the way the roaming profiles work just fine.

Any help appreciated

hi ,
u can remove the profile path for the user once the user logs in . a copy of the user profile is stored on the local m/c . but if u don't use roaming profile u will have to create a new profile for the user on ever m/c he logs in to . U can also change the user profile seting on the desktop by going to my computer properties and then selecting the user profile and changing it from roaming to local .

I have the profiles set to roaming, but I need them to remain mandatory roaming, which is not happening.
