Setting up 911 dialing

I setting up a PC to capture 911 dialing from a hotel and not sure of the setting's needed for the TTY port. Also, is there programming I need to do for the guest's if they dial 911 or 9-911 ? The hotel just want the to dial 911.

You could program the ESA Data Block in LD 24 to do this and also notify an IP or digital set when they dial 911. The TTY port would need OSN under user.

it will only give you the display if you config the numbers in the ESA block as ESDN's (LD 24). Probably just create 911 as your ESDN and also pick out 911 in LD 90 and local terminate it so 9-911 ends up in the same place. Like KCFLHRC says if you have an IP or Digital set that is 24 hour managed put an OSN against it.

If your system is 5.x or newer, you can implement misdial prevention in LD24 ESA - the only other method is this: [URL unfurl="true"]http://www.ghtrout.com/files/911_misdial_prevention.html[/url]

If your system is newer than Rls 3 but not yet Rls 5: Get this patch: MPLR20340 - This will set misdial prevention to the default settings (Note you will not see the new MISDIAL_PREVENTION prompt, but subsequent digits dialed, or hangup withing 2 seconds will get fast busy)

This is where 911 lives in a sample site of mine - it is Rls 5 as of this post.
