I've configured my 1603 with

sntp server 192.168.1.101

which is my SNTP server but it don't get the time.

I did debug sntp packet and see

00:09:14: Sending SNTP packet to 192.168.1.101
00:09:14: xmt AF3BD2A5.FB3F2A70 (00:09:09.981 GMT Mon Mar 1 1993)
00:09:14: Received SNTP packet from 192.168.1.101, length 48
00:09:14: leap 0, mode 3, version 3, stratum 0, ppoll 1
00:09:14: rtdel 00000000, rtdsp 00000000, refid 00000000 (0.0.0.0)
00:09:14: ref 00000000.00000000 (00:00:00.000 GMT Mon Jan 1 1900)
00:09:14: org 00000000.00000000 (00:00:00.000 GMT Mon Jan 1 1900)
00:09:14: rec 00000000.00000000 (00:00:00.000 GMT Mon Jan 1 1900)
00:09:14: xmt C1B2282F.688D7330 (00:26:23.408 GMT Tue Dec 24 2002)
00:09:14: inp AF3BD2A5.FE4B4E6A (00:09:09.993 GMT Mon Mar 1 1993)

but show clock still says March 93. Help pleeeease?

Hello,

What ios are you running, I think you need the plus version for SNTP.
If all else fails do a set clock :)

You do need IP Plus for NTP but SNTP is available in the base IOS. I'm not near the router at the moment. The fact that it's sending and recieving the packets suggests it's doing it but not quite getting it right.

Hello again,

The debug o/p is a bit odd - the refid shows as 0.0.0.0 - should be the SNTP server address.
Also, the years seem strange.

Router is March 1993,
Server is December 2002,
The timestamps : ref, org and rec all show Jan 1990 !!!!!

I would try manually setting the clock.
Could it be that the big difference in years let alone hours minutes and seconds is causing SNTP to get confused?
