Hi Guys

I have a search facility that has a couple of drop down boxes. I have also have a button that when clicked sets session variables based on whats in the drop-down boxes. This works fine. When the results are displayed they are listed. These results then have a <a href> link to another page and for some reason the Session variables are not carried over to the next page. Any Ideas?

Kind regards

Do you have an entry for sessionState in your web.config file and if so what doe sit look like?

OK, when you navigate around your site, is the session ID passed along in the querystring?

yes - it returns a combination of aplhanurmerics

In that case you are using a cookieless session. If your anchor links are absolute links rather than relative ones, the page will think it's a new session and therefore you won't keep the same session variables from the previous page.

I have checked I am using relative ones and problem still occurs?

Is the session ID changing between pages?

OK, create two simple pages (i.e. with no other function than to display this problem) that replicates this and post the two pages back here.
