I am using AutoCAD LT 2005, I am setting my defaults under the "aclt" template file (which is the default page I have set to open new drawings).

I have set several items, however can't seem to set the default fill to solid. Can I do that?, and if so, could someone go through step by step on the process.

Thank you

Chris

Try HPNAME as the system variable storing the default hatch pattern name.

Thank you for the reply, I do not know exactly what you mean? I am assuming that I enter that at the command line at some point? Could you please explain just a little more? Thanks

Chris

Thanks CarlAK!!

I entered it in the command line, then realized that it meant "Hatch Pattern Name".. Entered "solid"... boom done. Thanks!!!!

Chris

OK, I thought that fixed the fill, but it didn't. It still will not make it the default when I open a new page. Any ideas??

Chris

You're right, it looks like HPNAME is one of the variables that isn't saved, it works only for that drawing, that session.

Another way is to include a command in the startup process to re-set it. Try adding this line to adac.lsp:

(setvar "HPNAME" "SOLID")

Thank you CarlAK. I am not sure on the "adac.lsp"? I will check with an IT guy here at work and see if he can help me do that.

Thank you
