On a regular report I use I need to adjust the print margins from the standard settings to "Landscape" and left and right margins to 0.99.

The only problem is that when I close the report and go back into it at a later time the settings I put in previously are gone, so I need to repeat the same process.

Someone told me that resets the margins because I am on a network.

I have been told that there is a way to automatically set the print margins (I think through a macro).

Can anyone help?

Are you actually saving the report after you change the settings? Or are you clicking PrintPreview when you're in design mode and then closing the report.

If you select the report in the database window and key Alt+F followed by U (page setup on the File menu), you'll only get the dialog box for the printer settings. Change you're settings and click OK to save everything. Now repeat and check the settings.

Print margins do not normally get reset, even when you're on a network. The margin settings allowed are dependent on the printer assigned to the report.

You can change the margins and orientation settings easily in Access 2002 by using the corresponding properties of the Report.Printer object. On previous versions of Access its a lot of code and you have to use PrtMips (see help for details).

I am saving the report after I have changed the settings. It seems to work with other things for me in Access, but not reports.

I am using Access 2000.
