Hello, all

I think I've done something stupid. Although I have a nice new version of Access, I also have a nice new mental block to go with it. I can't seem to get the hang of this database thing.
Here's my problem: I linked 2 tables (applicant and loandata), so that when (IF)an applicant became a borrower, they could be linked by the "borrower" field. However, I neglected to save "borrower" as the primary key, and now I can't reset the primary key, nor can I seem to unlink the tables. Have I destroyed 4 days of slaving over a tired computer?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Hi!

To unlink: Have you tried to delete the relationships between the tables in the relationships window (right click the relationship and select delete)?

If that works, you should be able to perform the other issues.

That was so simple! The menu is a little misleading, because it doesn't give you a "delete link" option, it just says "delete", which leads you to believe that you are deleting the entire table. Thank you so, so, so much!!
