Hi

I have been trying to set network-boot-arguments @ the ok prompt on a Sun Fire T1000 to enable a network boot of Solaris 10 6/06. I have hunted through the man pages and googled but I dont seem to have the syntax correct. Can anybody help?

{0} ok setenv network-boot-arguments rarp, host-ip=192.168.0.10, tftp-server=192
.168.0.4, tftp-retries=3
network-boot-arguments = rarp, host-ip=192.168.0.10, tftp-server=192.168.0.4, tftp-retries=3
{0} ok boot net
Boot device: /pci@7c0/pci@0/network@4 File and args: sun1/export/install/06_06/
installer
Unknown key ' host-ip'
Unknown key ' tftp-server'
Unknown key ' tftp-retries'

Did you do a reset-all following your changes?

From my experience following any environment changes at the ok> prompt we usually do this for the system to take the new configuration and confirm no boot errors.

Good Luck.
