Setting Max Column Width

Hello!

I want to use proc template to specify the maximum width of a column. I'm dealing with large narratives that I don't want breaking up a table and wrapping around.

If there is no way to do this can I somehow change the proc print statement or the ODS statement around the proc print that creates the PDF so I don't get huge columns that force everything to wrap?

I would suggest using PROC REPORT instead of PROC PRINT. It gives you more options for controlling that sort of thing.

I used proc report and it worked out since there was no easy way to do it with proc print. Thanks.

Sometimes on data with the large naratives sending the output to a pdf output may be useful. Just a thought.
