Can you please help us with problems we are experiencing with setting default preferences and colour settings in CS2. Our current procedure is as follows;
We install the software and do all the colour settings and preferences (scratch disk, actions, column size etc) for Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as a test user.
We then copy this test user profile to the default user profile in windows xp during the ghost image build process so when any new user logs into the pc (which is very common in our artrooms) they will have these default settings.
The problems we are encountering is that when the new user logs on and trys to open Photoshop or Illustrator the applications will not open (photoshop comes up with a locked file error) until you trash the preferences. We have looked at the binary preference file and it contains the full file path of the test user where the preferences were created. This is obviously what is causing the problem. We did not encounter this problem in CS1.
We have been setting up the colour settings for CS2 using Adobe Bridge but have found that when we logon as a new user it does not keep these settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
