Hi

Is there a way to set up a pattern on a colour? eg I know you can use the color(145,145,145) etc - but I need to set the colour up as a pattern aswell. I think I can do it by putting the foreground and background colours in - but I am not sure what syntax to use if it is possible.

thank you so much for any help

kind regards

What exactly do you mean by color pattern? Different font and background colors? Alternating colors across rows?

Thanks LB

I have a pie chart where the sections have different patterns and colours eg squares and lines etc - I forgot to say that I am using Crystal v8.5

Normally in a formula I would put say color red or use the rgb values - but i need to specify thats it is a pattern aswell and I am not sure if you can specify that in a formula?

many thanks for your help as always !

If you go into the chart analyzer->select a pie slice->right click->format chart->selected item->pattern->you can choose both a foreground and background color and the pattern--all in the same screen, but without any capacity to write a conditional formula.
