Hey guys, I'm a newbie at Indesign and I'm currently trying to make a catalog. Anyways, I have dragged an image from my comp onto InDesign and has it covering the whole file so that it can become the background (I hope this is the right way to do it). Anyways, when I want to add text or something, the background overwrites the text, making the text unviewable. How do I fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Make a new layer. Let your text sit on the layer above the background. You should lock your background layer.

Thanks a lot, works like a charm!

You can also look at your 'text wrap' settings for the image.
