Setting a date to empty

If have got a loop, i have a date set to a variable the problem is the time it goes round the secind time round it gives and invalid date, is there a way to clear the date so before starting the next loop it will be set to empty or nothing.

You do not show your code, so I can only give you a vague answer: you can set the date variable to null.

I tried settng the date to null ny using the follwing code



datMaxDate = Null

I keep getting an error message saying "invalid use of null",

Im trying to set this code to to null

datMaxDate = Nz(DMax("[Time of Transaction]", "tbl_Delupdate", "[Cylinder Barcode Label] = '" & Nz(stringy1, "") & "'"), #12/31/2099#)

Only Variant may hold Null value in VBA.

Sorry about that, the date functionality seems to be wrking now, havent changed anything but it worked. Thanx for ur help guys.
