I have changed a customer on analog trunks to answer to a ring group first with two sets and then go to attendant if not answered. when I call the main number it now rings a delay before going to vmail but the two sets don't ring.

Thanks

Wichie

I did a log trace and I see it going to the ring group 202 I created.

What is the ring strategy and ring time?
Does "attendant" mean an extension or auto attendant?
In the ring group what is set for destination if no answer?

are analog trunks in a rollover from the provider and each trunk has an inbound route pointing to the ring group?

yes i can but it says calling.... theres a long delay and then it starts ringing. not sure where the delay is coming from.

Those ext don't have DND CF or other features activated?
Can each ext be called from another ext?

phone rings fine direct dial. no dnd. the call group rings eventually. about 45 secs later

I believe I would delete and recreate the ring group with a different number like 600 and change the inbound routes to this new rg

sounds like it is trying to find ext 202 before going to the rg

Ok that seemed to work, now I have a new issue.

It rings the sets but it sends it to ivr while it is still ringing the sets in the ring group. 0ne or two rings and if they pick it up in those last two rings they have the caller and the ivr....

i changed the ring time to 10 secs but now it only rings twice

wiring verified, sounds like maybe a side cross between the trunks and the ucx

disconnect all the lines at the demarc but one and try that number

Ok... ive given up and set the main lines to answer to ivr again. It works perfectly fine this way. as soon as I have the lines go to a ring group first then ivr I get double ivr, also get old greetings on a transfer to an extension.... any tips on this setup?

Thanks

A configuration error or wiring - connection problem
Post all of your DAHDi trunk configurations, all of the PSTN Trunk DID configurations, and inbound routes for all the analog lines.
