Hi,
I have Solaris 8 workstation. I hace created a user name and assign password and I have been using this user name to log in from a PC where I have xterm.

Since last two days whenever I log in I am getting a message like " setenv: Too many arguments "

Still I can use the system, but why this message.

Can any one help.

Thanks.

Sounds like a setenv has been set up incorrectly - check for typos/extra spaces/other chars in your .profile or whatever. HTH.

to debug: read man login to find out which profiles or rc files are red during login; add some echos or "set echo" to the files and login
I guess it's the PATH Variable! with some recursive expands like
setenv PATH ${PATH}:/bla/bla/bla/bin
you can go to setenv's limits (since sunsolve is down I cannot find out, waht the exat limits are)
