Set up paging

Hi

I was wondering what option i have to change to allow paging on a phone?

Paging on a phone is a key system function rather than a PBX function. Unless you're meaning an overhead paging system? If so, then it's allowing access to the ACOD of the paging route. Or you can certainly use the flexible feature codes. Give us more info and we can point you in the right direction.

An overhead paging system. When they page they enter two numbers, then say their page and it goes throughout the building.

I've done it before, i just had to change an option in that users phone set up. I just can't remember what i had to change.

can you do a stare and compare between a user who can access the paging system and one who cant?

You probably just need to change the TGAR on the phone
to match a phone that can page and sometimes change
the cls from CTD to UNR.

Yeah TGAR. That sounds right, i think i changed it to 0 from 1 last time i did it. I'll give it a try

that may be the problem.. you can't change it from 0 to 1.. you need to x0 or x1 and remove both.. when you enter 0 at that prompt, (default is 1) you get targ 0 1.. you can put 7 targs on a route
